NOSH Live: A Look into the Future of Retailing

At this year’s NOSH Live Winter on Nov. 30, attendees will get a glimpse into the future, in the form of two of the top speakers in the industry: retailing expert and author Phil Lempert and distribution and snack guru Michael Renkosiak.

Lempert is the mastermind behind SupermarketGuru.com, one of the first online publications to explore the world of the better-for-you packaged food. Launched in 1994, the site now attracts over 9 million visitors a year, offering readers analysis of trends in food marketing and retail, food ratings, health advice and many other resources to help them understand their food, health, lifestyle and shopping options.

In a one-on-one Q&A, Lempert will discussion of how brands can position themselves for success in today’s changing retail marketplace and meet the evolving demands of both retailers and consumers.

Renkosiak brings insight gleaned from over 30 years of industry experience, much of which was spent working with natural and organic products, in both branded and private label snacks as a direct manufacturer, a broker and a national distributor. He currently serves as Director of the Regional Promotions Team at KeHE Distributors, where he helps drive promotional programming and execution for vendors, brokers and KeH’e independent sales team.

At NOSH Live, Renkosiak will examine how to further appeal to brands and retailers, discussing how products can move from the shelf into consumers’ carts by working with distributors to achieve on-point, in-store execution and strategic, well developed promotional plans.
