Watch: 5 NOSH Staff Picks From Expo West

This year’s Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif. was about as crowded as a jumbo pack of organic sardines.

The Project NOSH team walked miles of the show’s booth-lined aisles, which were filled with 3,100 exhibiting companies and over 80,000 attendees. The goal: to find new products that embody the natural food industry’s hottest trends — and five in particular stood out among the sea of booths.

From a chao-based macaroni and cheese to protein-packed “spirit” animal crackers, some of our staff picks encompassed new twists on classic consumer favorites. Others embraced trending enhancements, like probiotics and hemp, using them in unexpected places like sriracha or crunchy snack bites. All embodied bold flavors, convenient packaging and compelling stories.
