Role:

As the Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for handling the company's end to end sourcing operations related to raw materials.  The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.  The role will report to the Director of Supply Chain and work out of our Franklin Park location. 

What you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease spend
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure profitable cost
  • Optimize sourcing and procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Cooperate with key stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
  • Understand possible shifts in negotiating power of raw materials suppliers 
  • Perform cost analysis and benchmarking 
  • Research new vendors and suppliers as needed

Who you are:

  • BS degree in supply chain, logistics or business administration 
  • 8-10 years of experience in supply chain, specifically procurement and/or sourcing
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing required
  • Comfortable with collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
  • Strong ability to multi-task and project manage multiple projects
  • Familiar with sourcing and vendor management software, preferably experience with SAP
  • Interest in health and wellness preferred
