We are seeking a full-time brand specialist / sales representative to join our growing team. The position will receive a base salary and sales commission. The right candidate will have potential to earn six figures within 2-3 years.
As a BevNET brand specialist, you’ll work with emerging food & beverage brands. These are companies that produce packaged food and beverage products, e.g. snack foods and kombucha. Your mission is to help them grow their businesses through the use of our digital and print advertising and our bi-annual industry conference series.
The position will focus the majority of its time towards our BevNET.com and ProjectNOSH.com platforms.
As a well-established media platform, we generate substantial inbound leads which we presently do not have the bandwidth to handle effectively. We are looking for a candidate who can get up to speed and settle into the role quickly. A successful candidate will listen to customers’ needs and strategic goals, educate them on the ways to utilize our platform, and manage the account for their ongoing advertising and conference related needs. Existing relationships in food and beverage are a bonus.
Sales efforts are primarily conducted via telephone and email. There are multiple initiatives and lists to work from, so it is critical that you are detail-oriented, work efficiently, and are able to prioritize and schedule tasks properly.
Travel to several industry trade shows as well to our own conferences will be required.
The position will be located in our Watertown Square office, which is accessible to public transportation including express bus service from downtown Boston. Parking is also available.
Learn to act as a voice of the BevNET and NOSH brands.
Handle inbound sales leads as determined by the Senior Brand Specialist.
Work with our Senior Brand Specialist to develop new accounts through inbound and outbound campaigns.
Build, cultivate and revitalize relationships with existing accounts in our food and beverage database.
Work with the Senior Brand Specialist to prioritize work and continuously optimize the sales process.
Represent brand sales efforts at key trade shows.
3+ years of professional sales experience (with a proven track record of sales growth), preferably in media or events.
Experience in the food or beverage / CPG industries is a plus (desire to learn it is a MUST)
Strong attention to detail, excellent communicator, and professional sales demeanor.
Experience with Salesforce CRM.
Experience collaborating with the Google G-Suite platform:Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Presentations.
Base salary, based on experience, plus commission plan.
