Tea Drops is a woman-owned, innovative tea company based out of Los Angeles, CA - manufacturing a line of USDA Organic, bagless, pressed teas that dissolve in hot water. Tea Drops are a delicious, simple, and sustainable way to instantly enjoy tea.

Tea Drops is looking for an enthusiastic, competitive and personable Director of Retail Sales to grow our Grocery Retail footprint and Foodservice programs. This person will be responsible for prospecting, pursuing new grocery retail accounts, AND foodservice/hospitality accounts.

We’re looking for a resourceful, hungry and driven individual who loves and embraces tea culture. This person will join a small team (under 10 people) and will report directly to the company’s founder. They will be heavily incentivized to grow a critical line of business, and will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience building a fast-growing start-up in an exciting beverage category.

The sales process for this channel is largely conducted over phone, in-person, and email, so to succeed in this role you must feel comfortable reaching out directly to potential customers (buyer/distributors) and passionately introducing them to the Tea Drops assortment.

Compensation for this role will consist of a base salary+ sales commission and competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive significant growth in Tea Drops’ key grocery retail regions

  • Identify, engage and convert new customers for Tea Drops’ food service programs: office delivery, hospitality, and cafes to name a few

  • Manage and oversee field execution - from brokers/brand ambassadors/account managers to ensure Tea Drops is providing the best possible customer experience on-shelf and in-office.

Basic requirements / qualifications:

  • Degree from a 4-year University

  • At least 4-5 years of post-college professional experience in the grocery and/or foodservice channel

  • Out-of-this-world communication & interpersonal skills (in-person, phone, email)

  • Insatiable hunger to learn, to execute, to win

  • Passion for tea a must; interest in building community is a must, interest in broader food & beverage industry a plus

  • Interest in researching and learning from other B2B sales models + interest in improving our sales process / testing and measuring new tactics

  • Strong planning, organizational and managerial skills
