Wild Friends is an innovative and clean label foods brand, specializing in non-GMO nut and seed butters and nut butter based breakfast items, including our first-to-market Nut Butter Oats. We’re on a mission to Make Food Friendly by recreating favorite foods with better nutrition and taste, while honoring the planet, our partners, and our employees. 

Wild Friends Foods was started by founders Keeley and Erika in their college apartment in 2011. Since a nationwide launch in 2012, the brand has been featured on Shark Tank and in Forbes, and is currently distributed nationwide in over 8,000 doors. Wild Friends is a certified B Corp and we partner with Girls, Inc to empower more girls to be “Strong, Smart and Bold.”

We’re seeking a marketing leader capable of bringing the Wild Friends brand to life for new consumers while fostering our existing enthusiastic Wild Friends community. We’re looking for a self-starter who is up for the challenge of building a brand from a mental “place of abundance;” we’re growing, but scrappy, so you’ll need to be resourceful and limitless in your creativity. As the leader of our Marketing department, working closely with company founders, you will play a critical role in bringing #wildfriendsfun to more people in more places!

Because you will be responsible for co-authoring, adapting and executing our annual Marketing Plan, you will wear many hats. We are looking for a bona fide rock star who wants to get his or her hands dirty in both consumer and trade marketing, designing programs from scratch and executing with excellence.

Consumer Marketing

  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of our brand voice and values. Ensure Wild Friends comes across as one consistent and awesome brand on all channels through copy and visual content.

  • Manage our communications strategy by identifying and connecting with partners who can help us tell our story through earned media. Compose and send press releases to targeted media with strategic timing and content.

  • Manage online strategy, including paid advertising, website, SEO, analytics, ecommerce broker relationships and product/promotion strategy.

  • Partner with our Operations team to bring additional farm-to-consumer transparency to the consumer.

Trade Marketing

  • Partner with Sales on year-round, highly creative initiatives to move product off shelves and into consumers’ pantries, including but not limited to retailer programs, couponing (physical and digital), and consumers events/demos.

  • Oversee the production of four industry trade shows, including planning and coordinating execution with WFF team members.

  • Manage and collaborate with Marketing Coordinator; including Graphic Design of all brand assets, photography, videography, customer support, and email marketing.


You have:

  • A deep understanding of and passion for the ever-evolving grocery retail landscape (including, but not limited to, ecommerce, grocery delivery, couponing, retail programs, brand collaborations, etc);

  • Experience with and desire to learn more about web analytics, campaign optimization and online sales strategy;

  • Strong project-management skills: you can organize and execute with the best of them;

  • Excellent copywriting skills with the proven ability to be concise, yet impactful in written communications;

  • High EQ; able to work with many different personality types while infusing our organization with calm, positive energy; you’re a quick learner, logical-thinker and no-ego doer;

  • The desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth work environment, adapting to continually changing priorities and ambitious project timeframes.


  • Five to seven years of marketing experience within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment is required; considerations made for candidates with more than five years of related experience in another active lifestyle (e.g. outdoor goods) or retail-centric environment (e.g. wellness products).

  • Strong planning, organizational, project management experience along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; highly adaptable & resourceful.
