Title: Pricing Manager
Pay type: Exempt
Reports to: CFO
The Manager is responsible for coordination and implementation of the corporate pricing strategy as it relates to the tactical side of developing, managing and communicating retail pricing and compliance processes. By quantitatively assessing retail pricing strategies, this position will have a direct impact in recommending alternatives for maximizing Company profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage team of pricing analysts, who will execute the strategies (as set by Major Brands’ leadership through interaction with Sales Directors, Accounting Department and suppliers.
Analyze gross profit opportunities across the Company portfolio from a macro and micro perspective.
Responsible for managing the Major Brands pricing strategy and providing modification recommendations to President of Sales and Chief Financial Officer when appropriate.
Develop and maintain pricing models to calculate profit margins based upon product pricing alternatives, including frontline, deals, discounts and margin changes.
Collaborate with Sales Directors to assess pricing models and recommend optimal retail pricing to maximize profitability. This may include:
Analyze the impacts of supplier price and/or support changes on sales growth and profitability under multiple pricing alternatives.
Attending meetings with suppliers to provide analytical support for directors in relation to retail pricing.
Ensure product pricing is maintained consistent with Federal/State regulations, Major Brands’ policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Two years of experience in a business field requiring mathematical analysis preferred.
Sales related experience a plus.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows environment. Specifically with Excel, whereas numerous analysis and spreadsheet projects are expected.
Excellent analytical skills and oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate and work well with supervisors, employees, colleagues and individuals inside and outside of the company.
Ability to grasp concepts and theory using an inquisitive mindset that leads to a thorough understanding of Major Brands’ practices and procedures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, while demonstrating the ability to delegate tasks appropriately and maintain attention to detail.
Works independently under general supervision with considerable expectations for initiative and independent judgment.
Ability to proactively identify and implement process improvements while operating with a “service oriented” mindset.
Must have clear driving record in accordance with Major Brands’ Driving Policy
