Shire City Herbals is a small, family owned and operated health business based in the heart of the Berkshires. We have been producing our flagship tonic Fire Cider® since 2011, and are headquartered in our hometown of Pittsfield, MA. Fire Cider is available across the nation, and demand continues to skyrocket with an annual growth rate in the high double digits. As we move into our new HQ/production facility in the Fall of 2017 and begin an exciting new chapter, maintaining our rate of sales growth will be crucial.

Core Sales Activities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans in consultation with CEO and senior company leadership.

  • Set and achieve Key Performance Indicators.

  • Develop systems to capture and analyze sales data in order to identify opportunities, monitor trends, and optimize profit margins.

  • Oversee building and maintenance of strong, long lasting customer relationships.

  • Service key accounts.

  • Represent the company at major trade shows and industry events. 

Core Management Activities:

  • Training, motivating, and leadership of a growing sales team to ensure a productive, healthy, and harmonious departmental culture.

  • Oversee hiring, firing, and disciplining of sales staff.

  • Projecting staff needs required to hit sales goals in an environment of rapid growth and constant change.

Education & Experience:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in a sales management position for a minimum of 2 years, 4 or more preferred.

  • A minimum of 2 years of direct sales and customer service experience, 4 or more preferred.

  • Experience in the Natural Food or Supplement industry strongly preferred.

  • Must have excellent Excel/spreadsheet skills and genuine enthusiasm to dive deep into sales data analysis.

  • Must have a working knowledge of the Windows operating system and the Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Google Docs).

  • Love of vinegar tonics and spicy foods a plus.
