Texas Barrel House Distributing is an independent craft beer distributor looking for energetic, hard-working Sales Representatives who have a passion for craft beer. We’re looking for craft sales reps to open new accounts and manage existing accounts in the Austin area. Responsibilities include daily sales calls to accounts such as restaurants/bars, chain stores and liquor stores. Primary focus will be to influence and motivate sales in current accounts and market brands to new accounts.

Our suppliers include Strange Land Brewery (Austin, TX), Idle Vine Brewing (Austin, TX), ATX Vodka (Austin, TX), Thousand Oaks Brewing (Cedar Park, TX), Double Horn Brewing (Marble Falls, TX), New Braunfels Brewing Co (New Braunfels, TX), 3 Nations Brewing (Farmers Branch, TX), Shannon Brewing (Keller, TX), Rabbit Hole Brewing (Justin, TX), Audacity Brew House (Denton, TX), Cycler’s Brewing (Montgomery, TX), Crazy Mountain Brewing (Vail, CO) Battered Boar (Edmond, OK), Kukko (Finland), Locust Cider (Washington State), Sprecher Brewing (WI), Texas Craft Pack.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Passion for craft beer!!!!
  • Develop new relationships and maintain/strengthen existing relationships.
  • Create and execute promotional and merchandising strategies.
  • Ensure that product is rotated and date code policies are executed.
  • Develop expert knowledge and understanding of the portfolio.
  • Contribute to the success of the sales team by accomplishing sales goals and contribute to the creation and implementation of new ideas.
  • Manage individual time and activities to maximize sales volume in defined territory.
  • Attend brewery promotions, beer festivals and other events.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Passion for craft beer!!!!
  • Craft beer sales experience with on-premise and off-premise accounts
  • Product knowledge, sales presentation, relationship building and territory management.
  • Strong work ethic. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Core competencies to include: intensity and commitment to task, competitive, assertive, high mission of service, strategic, and creative.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Valid drivers license and auto insurance
