Area Sales Manager - ASM

Position description:

The Area Sales Manager's job is to enhance the sales volume and merchandising impacting the area for which he/she is responsible. They are also accountable for conducting local sampling events through out their marketplace.

The ASM will accomplish this by working in the field independently and in conjunction with local distributors. The Area Sales Manager will build solid relationships with the local distributor in order to increase VITHIT's share of mind within the distributorship's buildings and territory.

Job responsibilities are in 3 areas:

* New account prospecting 

  • survey specific market areas for opportunities
  • open new accounts based on cold calling and account leads
  • expand distribution of new products and line extensions
  • assist in trade shows when needed

* Account maintenance

  •  nurture existing accounts to create overall VITHIT presence
  •  establish and maintain relationships with VITHIT accounts
  •  set up display opportunities
  •  place hard/soft pos
  •  place equipment ( ie. coolers, display racks, barrels, glide racks)
  •  complete sales surveys

* Distributor Management

work with the distributor reps to:

  •  perform route rides
  •  open new accounts
  •  place hard/soft pos
  •  take re-orders adding incremental case sales
  •  authorize and increase current sku's
  •  assist in crew drives
  •  attend distributor meetings
  •  help with distributor training
