SAVVY Studios and the Paris Review Collaborate on Casa Bosques Chocolate

NEW YORK, N.Y. — This spring, SAVVY co-founder Rafael Prieto will release a new creative collaboration of chocolate as part of Casa Bosques. The collaboration will be in tandem with the cultural Paris Review. The chocolate brand is a personal project for Prieto, and was created from his love for creative design and Mexican chocolate. Since its conception, Casa Bosques has been a statement to SAVVY’s skill for branding and design. With each chocolate bar created, taste aligns with inspiration to create a sensory delicious experience. Casa Bosques is a kind of creative lab for Prieto where he regularly invites other designers, artists or artisans to conceive ultimate delicacies with him.

The Paris Review x SAVVY collaboration was born from a shared passion for the finer things in life: art, literature, poetry and culture. As Casa Bosques is a company that believes in exploration both for ingredients and adventures, they wanted to capture the taste of “culture” in their chocolate. These precious moments are emulated in the unique flavors of the cacao.

Since 1953, The Paris Review has featured the artwork of several prominent artists on their covers: Jennifer Bartlet, Joe Brainard, Alex Katz, and Pablo Picasso to name a few. That’s why it was important for SAVVY to create something that not only epitomized the creativity of the artwork, but paid tribute to it. For the wrapping of the chocolates, the cover of the Winter-Spring Issue 29 was chosen, featuring the artwork of American sculptor Shinkichi Tajiri.

Just as Tajiri’s art is pivotal in the design, so is the chocolate itself. As with all Casa Bosques chocolates, The Paris Review line represents the invigoration that comes with exploration of different places around the world and the experiences that come with it in every delicious bite. The chocolates, laced with sweet coconut crystals, are the perfect balance of bitter, subtly smoky notes, and pure dark fruity flavors.
