Don’t Go Nuts Relaunches Snack Bar Line with USDA Certification

SALIDA, Colo. — Don’t Go Nuts, a free-from foods company based in Salida, Colo., re-launches its snack bar line with USDA organic certification this March at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA. The re-launch includes family favorite snack bar Gorilla Power, named “Best Kids’ Product” in Delicious Living’s 2017 Best Bite Awards.

“We couldn’t be more excited about our snack bar line re-launch,” said Jane Pinto, Founder. “We were able to keep the same delicious taste consumers love while becoming certified organic, increasing our whole grains and reducing sugar.”

The re-launch includes three chewy granola bars: Gorilla Power, with chocolate chips, Whitewater Chomp, with white chocolate chips, and Blueberry Blast, with blueberries. Blueberry Blast is the company’s first dairy-free snack bar.

“Customers have been asking us for a dairy-free bar and we think they’re going to love this one,” said Pinto.

The three bars meet Federal requirements for Smart Snacks in Schools, an important advantage as more schools become nut free, and more families need nutritious, school safe snacks.

“Nut-free consumers trust our foods to be safe because they know we get it,” said Pinto, whose daughter Lily’s severe, life-threatening food allergies inspired the company and its high safety standards. “Gluten-free consumers trust our foods because our oats are from GF Harvest, a company owned by a Celiac family. As family-founded companies created to keep kids like ours safe, we take the absolute highest level of care.”

All three bars will be available in 5-ct. multi-packs and in 12-ct. caddies for individual bar sales. The re-launched bars will be ready to ship in April.

In addition to the three snack bars, Don’t Go Nuts offers a line of nut-free roasted soybean spreads that also are certified organic. The bestselling flavor is Chocolate, a creamy, guilt-free indulgence with 2x more protein, 2/3 less sugar, and 4x more fiber than the leading chocolate spread, plus B vitamins and no artificial ingredients. Additional flavors include Slightly Sweet, Sea Salted, Pure Unsalted and Simply Cinnamon. The spreads are perfect for sandwiches and pairing with apple slices, pretzels, morning toast, crepes, strawberries, bananas and more. They’re each available in 16 oz. BPA-free plastic jars.

To ensure the highest standards of nut-free, gluten-free food safety, Don’t Go Nuts developed its proprietary Field to Fingers Process and built its own dedicated food production facility near its headquarters in Salida, Colo.

Not only are Don’t Go Nuts foods safe and fun for consumers with peanut and tree nut allergies, they also are certified gluten free, organic, and kosher-dairy, made with non-GMO ingredients, and delicious for all ages.
