Now the delicious cookie so many have come to love and crave is available as a baking mix so anyone can bake delicious, better-for-you, gluten-free cookies in their own home.
Taking inspiration from a favorite family cookie recipe that just happened to be naturally gluten-free, the founders of Meli’s Monster Cookies – two moms and best friends with entrepreneurial spirits – created delicious, convenient and better-for-you cookies the whole family could feel good about eating. For the past few years, Meli’s Monster Cookies could be found fresh-baked and frozen in the freezer section at hundreds of retail locations around the country.
Now, Meli’s Monster Cookie Baking Mixes are hitting store shelves at HEB Markets and will soon also be available online. At-home bakers add just three ingredients to the baking mixes to create an absolutely delicious cookie that is higher in fiber and protein than most cookies on the market and naturally gluten-free. Meli’s Monster Cookie Baking Mixes are available in all three of the baked and frozen cookie flavors:
o The Original: Made with gluten-free rolled oats, crunchy peanut butter, chocolate chips, plain and peanut butter M&Ms
o Chocolot: Made with gluten-free rolled oats, crunchy peanut butter, chocolate chips, chocolate chunks and white chocolate chips
o Cashewlicious: Made with gluten-free rolled oats, crunchy cashew butter, dark chocolate chips, fine macaroon-style coconut and dried cherries.
Unlike traditional cookies that list flour and sugar as the first two ingredients, Meli’s Monster Cookies begin with certified gluten-free oats and nut butter, making them a cookie to feel better about serving and eating. Meli’s Monster Cookie products do not contain hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, artificial flavors or preservatives of any kind.
