Jersey Famous Foods Expands Empanada Business
NEWARK, N.J. — Jersey Famous Foods, a New Jersey-based USDA food manufacturer, announced today they will be expanding their already successful wholesale empanada business into the retail sector with hundreds of stores set to carry their empanadas in Q1 2018.
“We’re experiencing meteoric growth with our gourmet wholesale empanadas right now – so it’s the perfect time to expand into the retail environment,” said Managing Partner, Chris Consorte. “Convenience stores, grocery stores – we already started retail testing the products and it appears our 10 varieties of empanadas are going to be an in-store success.”
Jersey Famous Foods, which in addition to empanadas manufactures over 30 varieties of 4.5lb food trays to the catering, hospitality, and food service sectors, has traditionally serviced the wholesale sector. However, their products, specifically the empanadas, are gaining a lot of retailer interest which explains the push into the sector.
