NEW YORK, N.Y —Â Feel Good Foodsâa leading, Brooklyn-based chef-inspired frozen foods company and #1 natural Asian appetizer brandâannounced a new line of Latin-inspired appetizers along with new product packaging.
The new line of appetizers includes the first-ever, gluten-free empanadas, which have an incomparable, traditional empanada dough consistency and clean label taquitos.
The inspiration for the taquitos?
âWe love eating taquitos as appetizers when we eat out, but noticed that all the frozen taquitos in the marketplace were filled with junk or not certified gluten-free,â said Vanessa Phillips, CEO of Feel Good Foods. âIt didn’t make any sense. Weâd make them ourselves with relatively few ingredients and a light bulb went offâletâs offer clean label, full-flavored taquitos to our consumers.” This marks the brandâs first step outside of Asian-inspired products.
Both the taquitos (Pinto Bean & Cheddar, Beef & Cheddar and Chicken & Chipotle) and empanadas (Beef, Chicken and Vegetable) are packed with protein raised without antibiotics, fresh vegetables and non-GMO corn. The six new products will join the brandâs existing 14 productsâtheir flagship dumplings, egg rolls and Asian entrĂ©es.
With their new packaging, Feel Good Foods switched from a horizontal to vertical orientation, allowing for five products to fit on a shelf instead of just four. The brand also updated the look and feel with brighter, cleaner photography and typographyâa reflection of the clean, good-for-you ingredients used in all products.
“We pride ourselves on being chef-inspired and wanted to create a packaging design that would tell our story,â said Phillips. âOur new packaging features the finished dish and highlights key ingredients. We wanted to showcase the food as it would be served at a restaurant.”
