UNFI to Distribute Kate’s Real Food & Expand Geographic Reach

Victor, ID (October 27, 2015) – Kate’s Real Food energy bars is launching availability through the major natural foods grocery distributor, United Natural Foods (UNFI) starting on November 1, 2015. In the business of “fueling the fun” for over five years, Kate’s bars have been offered primarily in the Rocky Mountain West up to this point. With the help of UNFI, they are now available in the following states to any grocer that uses the distributor: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

This is not unfamiliar territory to Kate Schade. The KRF founder has prioritized the start-up’s customer service culture in order to build a loyal vendor base through direct sales, and has already touched down in all of the states that UNFI will cover. With their involvement, a far wider net will be cast throughout the West. Schade’s take on the new relationship reflects her commitment to growth, “Our availability through UNFI will bring Kate’s bars to the next level by enabling access to more grocery stores beyond the Rocky Mountains where fans are asking for our products. It also means speedier delivery to accounts that need our bars. This is a gain for retailers, consumers, and Kate’s all around!”

UNFI’s reputation has been built on its support of the natural food industry. It is the leading independent national distributor of organic and specialty foods and related products. Kate’s Real Food embodies what UNFI has been seeking to achieve for the past twenty years – to provide consumer goods that are thoughtfully made.

About Kate’s Real Food: Kate’s Real Food supports the roots of their culture and beginnings: outdoor play and local organic farming.
