                    District Sales Manager

Metro NY/NJ CG Roxane, LLC

 

 

Primary Focus:                             Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water Brand.

 

Reports to:                          VP of Sales and Regional Director of Sales

 

Supervises:                                    All CG Roxane Distributors in assigned territory, Regional Retail Grocery Accounts, Food Service Accounts, Natural Food Service Accounts, Natural Foods and Working with Broker Community

 

General Functions:

 

v The District Manager is responsible to direct and promote the sale of CG Roxane Brand-Alpine Spring Water in the assigned territory. This shall be done so as to achieve maximum brand growth and profitability and to achieve both case sales quotas and distribution goals.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

 

v Primary contact person with distributor General Managers and/or Sales Managers.

v Maintain distributor and Broker focus on Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water

v Responsible for managing, directing and training distributor and Broker personnel.

v Communicate current sales programs via sales meetings and one-on-one work with distributor sales reps.

v Review sales and distribution; recommend corrective action.

v Obtain pertinent sales and statistical data.

v Maintain all appropriate records.

v Develop and implement individual programs as needed to increase sales.

v Responsible for comprehensive market plans involving budgets, goals, objectives, incentives and cost.

v Establish contact and rapport with key account, chain, independent, Natural and Food Service accounts.


v Sell monthly programs at Headquarters/Regional office levels for displays, price promotions and shelf management.

v Expand package distribution in new and existing accounts.

v Locate, establish and/or expand Crystal Geyser Alpine Spring Water product line in secondary distributors.

v Perform regularly scheduled surveys for competitive activity, market trends, and proper pricing and program implementation.

v Work with Area Sales Managers and Merchandisers to provide training and to monitor sales and administrative activity as well as to assist in special accounts.

v Participate in community activities and events including coordinating and supervision.

v Submit all weekly, monthly and special reports, including itineraries, to the Regional Director of Sales and VP of Sales in a timely manner.

v Responsible for managing all Crystal Geyser point of sale within area of responsibility.

v Responsible for monitoring and reviewing all distributor/account billbacks and charges.

 

A District Manager must be a team player as well as a team leader. They must always portray a positive and professional image.

 

 

Reporting Procedures:

 

v Provide monthly sales tracking reports, major accomplishments, Client Visit Reports and a sales expense report.

 

v Review of all marketing programs done monthly.

 

v Communicate all pricing, pricing changes, promotions and sales activity to Region Sales Manager.

 

v Maintain all appropriate records.

 

v Communicate and track all competitive activity and make recommendations as needed.


NYC Sales Manager Responsibilities


Overall objectives 

I.Develop and grow sales and account base in the NYC Metro area

II. Identify opportunities and obstacles in the market place and provide recommendations on how to achieve goals and overcome obstacles

III.Maintain accurate tracking records in monitoring progress of sales calls

IV.Maintain a firm hand on past dues and anomalies

V.Maintain proper use of company paperwork to include pricing grids and P & Lā€™s, client visit reports, presentation forms, etc.

VI.Work with and evaluate brokers on usefulness and effectiveness in market place. (do we need them?)

VII.Attend food shows as necessary to ensure exposure and development of brand. Day to Day activities The New York City Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the following areas of business: a)  Retail Wholesalers ā€“ helping to execute ad plans that have been sold in at the buyer level. SM will be responsible for calling on buyers and retail outlets to secure distribution to support ad plan and to establish permanent position at retail level.b)  Vending and foodservice distributors. SM will also be responsible for seeking out new vending and foodservice distributor business. Once new business has been identified and sold in, SM will work to grow business by helping to identify opportunities with that wholesaler.Brokers ā€“ SM will direct brokers to help identify opportunities in the market place. SM will also hold 

a)  broker accountable for successful retail coverage and head quarter coverage where necessary. SM will also evaluate broker performance as necessary.b)  End Users calls ā€“ working with area managers, brokers reps and other distributor reps to find new end users along with building relationships with existing customersc)  Have a complete understanding and knowledge of who we         are. Use your presentation material with knowledge and enthusiasm. d)  Be in constant contact with Regional Manager discussing opportunities and problems
