The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is an energetic, self-motivated and creative individual with strong leadership capabilities and a desire to drive Neuro’s brand building programs. The ASM’s initiative will enhance the sales volume and merchandising impact in a geographical area of responsibility while maintaining good working relationships with bottlers, distributors, retailers, consumers and co-workers.

Required Duties:

  • Work independently and with bottlers/distributors to build positive working relationships and increase Neuro share of mind with frontline District Managers
  • Achieve monthly sales and distribution targets
  • Understand and manage promotional periods, measure effectiveness
  • Manage expectations of brand standards
  • Conduct sales meetings, rallies and brand launches
  • Train distributor’s sales force as required
  • Manage local POS rooms and monitor inventory
  • Schedule and participate in periodic “work with” with bottler/distributor reps
  • Account Merchandising, Building and Maintenance
  • Build consumer awareness in existing Large and Small format accounts to explode overall Neuro presence
  • Sell in display, rack, end cap, glide racks, barrels and cooler equipment for incremental points of interruption
  • Continually place Point-of-Sale materials that capture retailer and consumer attention
  • Gain incremental Neuro space by utilizing brand functionality and category profit sell story
  • Manage rotation and inventory control at retailer level
  • Set up retail sampling events to drive consumer awareness and gain incremental space
  • Reset store shelving as needed
  • New Account Prospecting
  • Establish working knowledge of area’s potential new account base
  • Cold call on new accounts selling in Neuro’s functionality and category profit story
  • Target On-Premise and Non-Traditional channels and outlets

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • 3+ years Consumer Package Goods experience preferred
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including iPad operation
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, listening, written and organizational
  • Capable of seeking out new ideas, exhibit initiative and be proactive
  • Strong competitive intelligence within the marketplace
  • Must have valid driver's license in the state where you live and perform the ASM role.
  • Must have Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with 0 major violations within past 3 years

Physical Demands of the Job:

  • Ability to lift 40+ LBS
  • Some travel required
