Job Title:         Human Resources/Payroll Manager

A beverage manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Human Resource Manager for a full time position. 

Duties and Responsibilities shall include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Oversee overall recruitment, retention, and training efforts; Maintain human resources records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs. Verify candidates background by contacting references. Enroll new employees by issuing forms and applications; verifying completion.
  • Responsible for administrative policy development, employee classification and compensation, job evaluation, employee relations and personnel related legal compliance, overseeing the maintenance of personnel records, administration of agreements.
  • Payroll processing for 60+ FTE. Payroll processing includes:  time card review via Paychex Time and Labor Online & verification, overtime calculations, submission via Paychex online system, verify payroll is accurate and complete, handling & responding to all payroll related regulatory agencies inquiries (EDD, IRTS, FTB, and other state taxing authority) and maintenance of all payroll reports.
  • Handle and manage Company health benefits, including open enrollment and cobra.
  • Conducted analytical assignments and assist departments in such tasks as workload measurement, scheduling, and development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Recommended and administer policies and procedures for human resources and risk management functions, keeping abreast of regulatory standards governing employment law such as Workers Compensation, EEOC, ADA, FLSA wage and hour law.
  • Manage and oversee the risk management functions for the Corporation including OSHA compliance safety program, prevention and training plan, workers compensation administration/audit, and emergency plans.
  • Facilitate conflict resolutions among employees and management; mediate, facilitate and provide guidance relative to formal grievances and appeals procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and employees where performance and disciplinary issues may exist to correct the situation in a positive and proactive manner.
  • Advise and counsel management in the development and application of labor relations policies, practices and laws.
  • Maintain absentee, time off, and sick records which includes maintaining & recording hours accrued and taken with proper departmental notification.
  • Administer employee health benefits to include completing open enrollment, appropriate paperwork, administering health benefits enrollment and cancellations, processing updates as needed, obtaining competitive bids and making recommendations.

  • Skills; Requirements:

    Oral Communication Skills, Written Communication Skills, Interpersonal Communication Skills

    Diplomacy, Organization, Planning, Professionalism; Proficiency in Excel, and Outlook. Spanish Speaking; experience with Paychex Payroll and TLO a plus. Human Resource Certification through SHRM a plus. College degree required.  Prior HR experience & payroll processing experience as a manager required.
