As a key member of the plant management team, the Maintenance Manager reports directly to the General Manager and assumes a strategic and tactical role in the overall management of all plant maintenance systems. Responsibilities include; planning, implementing, directing, and overseeing all plant preventive maintenance functions, buildings and grounds, utility infrastructure, and all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.  Ensures that all maintenance department objectives are met including projects, cost, quality, and safety factors.  Monitors progress of maintenance projects, confers with outsourcing consultants, reviews reports to ensure the project is on time and within budgetary guidelines.  Develop and revise standard operation/maintenance and working procedures and practices. Develop recommendations for maintenance systems and technology changes. Provide proactive and positive leadership to all maintenance employees. Manage work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and building of an effective maintenance department.  Must be proficient in maintaining state of the art process equipment, water treatment systems, CIP systems, Boiler operations and safety procedures. Provide operation planning reports, actions plans, and contingency planning as necessary.
